Description
Jefferson Hunt, son of John Hunt and Martha Jenkins, was born in 1803 in Bracken Co., Kentucky. He married Celia Mounts, daughter of Mathias Mounts and Mary Montgomery, in 1823 in Illinois. He was a captain in the Mormon Battalion. He married Martha Jane (Matilda) Nease in 1846. He arrived in Utah in 1847.
