Jasper Griffing (ca. 1648-1718), a native of Wales, was living in Essex County, Massachusetts, by 1670 and at Marblehead, Massachusetts, in 1674. He and his wife, Hannah (ca. 1652-1699), migrated to Southold, Long Island, ca. 1675. They had five children, ca. 1675-1685.
