George Abbot (d.1681) was born in England, and was one of the first settlers in Andover, Massachusetts in 1643. He married Hannah Chandler (d.1711) in 1647. The family lived in New England from 1640-1846. Also included are the families of Arthur Abbot of Ipswich, Robert Abbot of Branford, Connecticut, George Abbot of Norwalk, Connecticut and Walter Abbot of New Hampshire.

John Farnham was born in Stepney, England. He married Elizabeth Holcrofte in 1624 in London. They immigrated to Massachusetts in about 1635 and settled first in Dorchester and later in Boston. They had five children. Elizabeth died in 1652. John married Susanna Arnold in 1654 and had six more children. John died in 1684 and Susanna died in 1717.
