William Wright was born in about 1728 in Virginia. His parents were probably John Wright and Elizabeth Bronaugh Darnall. He married Mary Grant in about 1751. They had six children. He died in about 1809 in Franklin County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Illinois and Missouri.

Abraham Abshire (ca. 1755-1842) of Franklin County, Virginia, married twice and was the father of thirteen children, 1777-1815. He died in Franklin County at age 94. His grandson, George Anthony Abshire (1849-1931), was born at Cavesprings, Roanoke County, Virginia. He married Eliza Catherine Dille (1855-1936) in 1874 at Eureka, Kansas. Enoch Wright was born in 1785. He married Susannah Abshire 3 October 1808 in Franklin County, Virginia. They had fifteen children. They moved to Ohio in about 1812 and then to Indiana in 1831. Susan died in 1846. Enoch and his youngest sons then moved to California. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Indiana, Oregon and California.

Richard, the colonist, son of Rev. Francis and Anne Meryton Wright, was born in 1633 in York County, England. He married Ann Mottrom of Northumberland County, Virginia and died in Coan, Virginia. John J. Wright was the son of Goodman and Elizabeth Boon Jamison Wright. Thomas Hancks was probably born before 1630 and died after 8 April 1674, in Gloucester County, Virginia. His probable son, William Hanks, was born in about 1650. William and his wife, Sarah, had three sons born in Richmond County, Virginia. William died before 4 February 1704 in Richmond County. Descendants lived in Virginia, Georgia, Texas, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and elsewhere. Family members also spell their name Hank.
