Description
Joost De Baun (d.ca.1718/1722) married Elizabeth Drabbe, and the family emigrated in 1683 from Holland in The Netherlands to Bushwick, Long Island, New York. By 1684 they had moved to New Utrecht, Kings County, New York; after 1698 they moved to Orange (now Rockland) County, New York; and in 1704 to Hackensack, New Jersey. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname DeBaun) and relatives lived in New York, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Steven Coerte VanVoorhees was born in about 1599 in Hees, Drenthe, Netherlands. He married Aaltjen Wessels in about 1625 and they had four children. He married Willempie Roelofse Seubering in about 1649 and they had six children. They emigrated in 1660 and settled in Amersfort, New York. Steven died in 1684 in Flatlands, New York.
