John Alder (before 1557-after 1617) married Susan Sims (before 1557-after 1591) in 1571 at Standish, Gloucestershire, England. They had eleven children, ca. 1572-1591, born at Kings Stanley, Gloucestershire. Descendants listed lived in Gloucestershire and elsewhere in England; Isle of Man; New South Wales and elsewhere in Australia; and New Zealand. . Includes the Hughes, Roberts, Severinsen, Wilding and other related families.

John Hoge was born in 1793 in Tennessee. In 1827 he married Mary Oates and they settled in Jasper, Tennessee. They had five children. Many of their descendants remain in Tennessee today and are spotlighted in this book. Includes Hoge, Alder, Lowman, Raulston, Beatie, Kelly, Cook, Turner, and related families.

David Egan was born 13 July 1884 in Bountiful, Utah. He was the son of Richard E. Egan and Mary Ann Fisher. David married Elizabeth Easton 11 April 1906 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born 29 June 1887 in Almy, Wyoming and was the daughter of George A. Easton and Jane Cupples. David and Elizabeth lived in Utah and were the parents of nine children. Descendants were members of the LDS Church and lived primarily in Utah.

John Benson (ca. 1608-1678) married Marye Williams in Caversham, Oxford, England where two children were born. Three others were born in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Both parents died in Plymouth. Descendants lived throughout the United States.

The Gärtner and Würtz families, of German origin, settled in Kernei, Ungarn (Kernyaja, Hungary; now Krnjaja, Yugoslavia) about 1765 or 1766 and emigrated to the U.S. and Canada, primarily during the years 1900-1910. Descendants lived in Wisconsin, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, Germany and elsewhere.
