Description
Aldridge, Montana was a little mountain coal mining town. Mr. W. H. Aldridge was the director of the Montana Coal and Coke Co. He was the general manager of the East Helena Smelter. Mr. Aldridge never lived there, though he made several trips to the site, when he was successful in negotiating a satisfactory settlement, his name was given to the camp. The camp was started in about 1895 and lasted until 1910 when it became a ghost town.

Description
Joseph Talbert bought land in Spotsylvania County, Virginia in 1767, possibly moving there from Maryland. In 1772 he moved to Caswell and Orange counties, North Carolina and in 1789 to Edgefield County, South Carolina, where he died in 1794. Descendants lived in Alabama, Arkanasas, South Carolina, North Carolina, and elsewhere.

Ancestors, descendants, and relatives of Ernest Hatton Nichols. He was born in 1905 at Morrison, Oklahoma, the son of William Birdsal Nichols (1872-1959) and Cora Eva Hale Nichols (1877-1909). After the death of his mother, he was raised by Thomas H. and Grace Nichols Godfrey of Stroud, Oklahoma. He married Myrtle Lay (1906-1991), daughter of Cicero and Malinda Jane Oaks Lay, at Chandler, Oklahoma, in 1923. They had four children, 1924-1936. He died...

Alexander Rose (ca. 1738-1807) immigrated from Scotland to Virginia during or before 1755, and later moved to Orange County, North Carolina. He married Enice Lea in 1774. Descendants lived chiefly in Virginia and North Carolina.

George Aldrich married Katherine Seald in Derbyshire, England on 3 September 1629. They immigrated to Dorchester, Massachusetts in 1631. Their descendants are traced for thirteen generations, following their migrations to Ohio, Indiana, North Dakota and, finally, Washington state. Includes primarily the direct line of descent to the author, Harl Preslar Aldrich.
