Matthew Ellison (1793-1865) was the son of Matthew Ellison (1752-1830) and Jane Bolton (d.1829) of near Chipping, Lancashire, England. He married Jane Wilson (1800-1876), the daughter of John Wilson (1755-1827) and Ann Langton (d.1837) of near Clitheroe, Lancashire, England. Their early married life was spent in the vicinity of Clitheroe, Waddington and Bashaw Hall in western Yorkshire, where he worked in factories. They were the parents of ten children....

Descendants of two branches of the early Yancey family of Virginia. Charles Yancey lived in King William County in 1704 and later in Louisa and Hanover counties. Lewis Davis Yancey lived in Culpeper County and married Mildred Winifred Kavanaugh. He died in 1784. Descendants lived in Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Ohio, Missouri, Mississippi, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan and elsewhere.

In 1666, three sons of Sir John Hinton/Hynton (1603-1682) immigrated from England to Maryland. In 1710, three Hinton brothers immigrated from England to Chowan Co., N. C. They, too were descendants of Sir John Hinton. Descendants of these men lived in Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and throughout the South.

Robert Band was born in 1540 in Coventry, England. He married Ales Marshall November 31, 1562. They had eight children. Ten generations later they had three descendants named George Band. Urbin Gaiennie was born 4 October 1753 in France. He emigrated and settled in New Orleans. He married Jeanne Sarde (1772-1835), daughter of Etienne Sarde and Marguerite Reine, 19 March 1789. They had seven children. Their son, Francois (1792-1839), married Louise Ferreiere (1796-1854) in 1827. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Louisiana.

John Eaton was born in 1845 in Littleton, North Carolina. He was raised as a slave by William Eaton. His biological father was Peyton Ross. He married Agnes (d. 1880) and they had four sons. He married Mary Eliza Eaton (1862-1909), daughter of Henry Eaton and Missouri, in 1882 in Littleton, North Carolina. They had nine children. He died in 1925. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey.
