Joseph Lomas (b.1735), son of Joseph and Elizabeth Lomas, married Elizabeth Grinson inh 1757, and lived at Alstonfield, Staffsordshire, England. Clare Howe Oliphant, Sr. (1888-1983) was the son of Charles Henry Oliphant and Lucinda Abigail Judd. Clare was born in Kanab, Utah, and died in Orem, Utah. In 1918, Clare married Martha "Mattie" Gertrude Hiatt (1891-1942), daughter of James Franklin Hiatt and Christina Gertrude Mitchell.
