Michael and Barbara Acker and their family immigrated in 1833 from Bavaria in Germany to New York City, and settled in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, California, New York, Wisconsin, Iowa and elsewhere.

Peter Jacoby (d.1761) married Maria Elizabeth Heuer, and in 1741 the family immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Philadelphia, settling in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It is presumed that Maria Elizabeth Jacoby died about l January 1790. " ... The administrators bond was dated 7 Jan. 1790 ...
