Roger Williams (ca.1604-1684), was born in London, the son of James and Alice Pemberton Williams. He married Mary Barnard (d. 1676) 1629 at the Church of High Laver, Essex, England. He and Mary arrived in Boston, Massachusetts in 1631. They were parents of six children, all born in America (in Plymouth, Salem, and at Providence). One of their daughter's, Mercy (1640-ca. 1705), married (1) 1659 Resolved Waterman (1638-1670); and (2) Samuel Winsor (1644-1705)....

Matthew Whipple was born in Essex, England in about 1560. His son, Matthew Whipple II (1590-1647), married Anne Hawkins (1605-1643) in Bocking, Essex, England and they immigrated to America. They settled in Ipswich, Massachusetts. They were the parents of eight children. John Eddy, son of William Eddye and Mary Fosten, was baptized in 1597 in Cranbrook, Kent, England. He married Amie Doget, daughter of John Doget and Dorothy. They had eleven children. He died in Watertown, Massachusetts in 1684. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Vermont and Illinois.

Henry Jolley, son of John and Louisa Bryan Jolley, was born 26 August 1789 in Pitt County, North Carolina. He married Frances Manning (1789-1844), daughter of Reuben Manning and Diana McCoy, 23 January 1806. In 1825, the Jolleys moved to Tennessee. They became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Nauvoo, Illinois where Frances died 29 September 1844.
