Peter Angle came to America from Germany with two brothers. One is thought to have settled in Maryland, one in Pennsylvania, and the third (Peter Angle) came to Franklin County, Virginia.

George Bruce (1660-1732) emigrated from Scotland in 1678. His descendant, John M. Bruce, was born in 1804, the son of John Bruce, Jr. He married Elizabeth Barnhill in Carroll County, Ohio. They had six children. The family moved to Warrick County, Indiana, ca. 1847. He died in Indiana in 1880. Descendants listed lived in Indiana, Illinois, and elsewhere.
Includes the Angle, Barr, Cain, Day, Kirby, Skelton, and other allied families.

She married Elmer Gitchel Smith, son of John Frazier Smith and Annetta Evangeline Gitchel, on 16 June 1920 in Buckeye Township. Joshua R. Randall was born Nov 5, 1782 in New York. He married Sarah (Sally) Smith (1780-1865) July 4, 1801 in Galway, Saratoga County, New York. They had ten children. The family settled in Onandaga County, New York in 1810. Joshua died in 1852 in Michigan. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, South Dakota and elsewhere.

John Rapp, born Johannes Rapp on 4 August 1848, in Kimbach, Hesse, Germany, was the fifth child and first son of Johann Peter Rapp and Anna Katharina Korber. He married first Susannah Miller Comer, born 10 December 1843, daughter of David T. Miller and Anna Schock. She had been previously married and had two children.
