Descendants of Jacob Antes (1802-1880), born in Bavaria. He married Catherine Grimm, who was born in Bavaria 1794 and died ca. 1866-1870 in Connecticut. They had six children. This couple immmigrated to Connecticut 1849-1854. There are three main divisions of the Jacob Antes family: the western branch, the Massachusetts branch and the Connecticut branch.
Includes related families of Wolff, Hoover, Bernd, etc.

Jacob Markley, 1701-1784, immigrated to Pennsylvania and settled in Montgomery County. He married Barbara Dodderer in 1722. After her death, he married Barbara Kausch in 1739. Descendants lived principally in Montgomery County and surrounding areas, a few moving to Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and other states.

Thomas Stone (1719-1807) was born in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts. He married Rebecca Johnson (1707-1783) in 1742 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. They were some of the first settlers of Henniker, New Hampshire. Emphasis is placed on descendants of their son, James Stone (1747-1790), of Henniker. Descendants lived in New Hampshire, Iowa, New York, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, and elsewhere.

Franz Röhrig was born in about 1807 in Germany. His parents were Nikolaus Röhrig and Barbara Gölz. He married Katharina Elizabeth Antes in 1833 in Heppenheim, Hessen, Germany. They had eleven children. Their sons, Michael, Adam and Philipp immigrated to America. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Connecticut and Illinois.

David Mitchell (1768-1833) came to America from Ireland in 1786, settling in Virginia. He married Margaret Mitchel and moved to Mifflin County, Pennsylvania in 1794; they had two sons, James and Thomas. After Margaret's death in 1808, David married Elizabeth Steere, moved to Walker Township, Centre County about 1810, then to Clearfield County in 1825.
