The earliest known ancestor was William Aycock, who was born in Virginia in 1705. He married Rebecca Pace Bradford in 1736. Three children were born between 1731 and 1741. William died 1765 in Orange County, North Carolina.

A descendant, William Henry Rackley (1846-1885) was born in Blount County, Alabama and died in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. He married Mary Frances Johnson and their descendants lived in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama.

John Douglas was born near Glasgow, Scotland, in 1636. He immigrated to Maryland in the 1650's. He married Sarah Bonner and they had 7 children. John died in Charles County, Maryland in 1678.
