Kenneth (Mc) Bain was born June 5, 1800 in Bog-na-han, Foulis, Rosshire, Scotland. He married Elizabeth Urquhart May 4, 1832 and sailed for Canada on their wedding day. They settled first in Nova Scotia and in 1851 they moved to Bytown, North Easthope Township, Ontario. They had fourteen children. Kenneth died April 14, 1898 in Portage, Manitoba.
