Moses Helm was probably born in Ireland before 1710. He married Sarah and they immigrated to America about 1740. They settled in Virginia where they became the parents of eight children. Information collected on many of their descendants is given in this material which was the background material for a book published on the descendants of Moses Helm. Descendants now live in Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois, Mississippi, and elsewhere.

Stark Baker (1801-1860) was born in Tennessee and moved to Florida. He married Mary Morrison and they were the parents of six children. John Ward (1650-1720) was born in England and immigrated to Charleston, South Carolina. One of his descendants, Gasque Ward (1895-1977), married into the Baker family. Descendants live in Florida and other parts of the United States.

Minnie Baker, daughter of Alonzo Baker (1854-1917) and Katharina Louise Speidel (1876-1962), was born in 1906 in Lancaster, England. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Magdalena Speidel and Fred Kramer (1872-1939). They moved to Ireland in 1916. They emigrated in 1922 and settled in California. She married Rulon Pincock in 1927 in Huntington Park, California. They had four sons. She died in 2001.
