Raeola Ford was born 10 May 1925 in Rigby, Jefferson, Idaho. Her parents were Charles Edward Ford (b. 1903) and Jane Elreita Kinghorn (b. 1905). She married Harold Skeen Cooke 19 May 1946 in Elko, Elko, Nevada. Collection focuses primarily on the ancestors of Raeola's paternal grandmother, Susan Dell Warren. The emigrant, Henry Smith (1619-1686), son of Thomas Smith, was born in London, England. He was married probably in Stamford, Connecticut ca. 1645. He was married twice. He died in Stamford, Ct. Henry came to New England ca. 1635. After a short stay in Massachusetts he moved to Wethersfield as early as May of 1637 and on to Stamford, Ct. ca. 1640-41.

Thomas Gilbert (died 1793) and his wife Elizabeth (died 1777) had four children. Nothing is known about their origins. In 1779, Thomas married Hannah Burton (died 1822). They apparently had no children. Descendants live throughout the United States.

Casper Dilling (1756-1838) was born in Germany. He went to America as a Hessian mercenary during the Revolution, was captured, and deserted in 1783. He settled in Pennsylvania, and married Christina Puterbaugh (1767-1844), a daughter of George Puterbaugh and Christina Adam, ca. 1786. They had ten children. Descendants live throughout the United States.

Jacob Riemann, of Swiss ancestry, emigrated in 1753 from the Palatinate of Germany to Philadelphia and settled in Berks County and then Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. His grandson, John (1770- 1836), immigrated as a Loyalist to Vaughan Township, Ontario, in 1804. Descendants and relatives lived in Ontario, Saskatchewan and elsewhere.
