Description
Moses Helm was probably born in Ireland before 1710. He married Sarah and they immigrated to America about 1740. They settled in Virginia where they became the parents of eight children. Information collected on many of their descendants is given in this material which was the background material for a book published on the descendants of Moses Helm. Descendants now live in Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois, Mississippi, and elsewhere.

Stark Baker (1801-1860) was born in Tennessee and moved to Florida. He married Mary Morrison and they were the parents of six children. John Ward (1650-1720) was born in England and immigrated to Charleston, South Carolina. One of his descendants, Gasque Ward (1895-1977), married into the Baker family. Descendants live in Florida and other parts of the United States.

Description
Edward Baker, a farmer, emigrated from England and settled at Saugus (later Lynn), Massachusetts, in 1630. He and his wife, Joan, had five sons and a daughter. The family moved to Northamton, Massachusetts, in 1657. He later returned to Lynn where he died in 1687. Descendants listed lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, and elsewhere.
