He married Anna Kent (1750-1825) in 1770. She was born at Milford, Mass. to Isaac Kent and Rachel Beal. Israel came to Nova Scotia with his father from Shirley, Mass. ca. 1759/60. Herbert CLark Brotherton (1863-1943) was the son of Clark Brotherton (b. abt. 1825) and Harriet Howard (b. abt. 1828). He was born in New York and married Louise Elizabeth Ann Robinson (1871-1920). Their son Herbert M. C. Brotherton was married to Ella Helena Schebrat in 1917. This record deals with descendants and relatives from all sides of the family that lived in Prussia, Scotland, New York, Wisconsin, Washington, and elsewhere.

Samuel Morse, son of Thomas Morse and Margaret King, was born in 1585 in Boxted, Essex, England. He married Elizabeth Jasper (1578-1655) in 1602. They emigrated in 1625 and settled in Massachusetts. They had ten children. Descendant, Abner Morse (1731-1803), was born in Sherborn, Massachusetts. He died in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia.

George Allen was born in about 1568 in Weymouth, England. His father was Ralph Allen. He married Katherine Starks in 1589 in London. They had eight children. He married Katherine Davis in about 1597 and they had four children. They emigrated in 1635 and settled in Sandwich., Massachusetts in 1637. He died in 1648. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Vermont and Ohio.

James Melville (ca. 1781-ca. 1834) married Elizabeth Taylor, a widow with one son, between 1810 and 1820. They had two children, 1824-1827, born at Barrhead, Renfrewshire, Scotland. The family immigrated to Maryland in 1830. He was murdered ca. 1834 at Point of Rocks, Marland, by a discharged workman during construction of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal.
