Charles Stanley Baldwin, son of William Verne Baldwin (1897-1974) and Rebecca Faye Wilson (1902-1978), was born in 1931 in Ontario. He married Marlene Longworth in 1958.

Jonas Cutler Baldwin was born in 1768 in Windsor, Massachusetts, and married Eliza Warner in 1792. They moved to Ovid, New York, and then later to Lysander, New York. He developed the Baldwin canal, and named the area alongside Baldwinsville. He died in Lysander in 1827.
