William Foord was born in England in 1604 and immigrated to Massachusetts with his mother, "the Widow Foord" in 1621. He and his wife, Anna, had four children. He died in 1676 at Marshfield, Massachusetts. Descendants listed lived in Massachusetts, New York, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Iowa, Kansas, Oregon, and elsewhere.

Description
John Prater (ca. 1492-ca. 1547) was born in England. He married his wife Elene (ca. 1493-ca. 1547) about 1510. They had three children. A great-grandson, Thomas Prater (born ca. 1578) immigrated to Virginia ca. 1624, where he married and fathered five sons. Jonathan Prather, the ancestor of the rest of the people here noted, is believed to be one of those five. Descendants live along the east coast of the United States.

Sands Stanley was born before 1741. He married Zilpha Edwards, ca. 1759, in Dobbs (now Craven) County, North Carolina. All their children were born there. The family moved about 7 miles west of Darlington, Cheraw District, South Carolina. Sands died on 19 Nov. 1799. According to a record in the Darlington County Court House, his will was probated on 18 Dec. 1799. Zilpha died on 31 Mar. 1808.

A genealogy of the descendants of Thomas Fairchild born about 1610. He married 1) Emma (?) Seabrook and 2) Katherine Craig in London, England. He emigrated in 1639 and settled in Connecticut. He died in Stratford, Connecticut 14 Dec 1670. This volume contains additions and corrections to the first book which covers the first eight generations of the family. Chiefly, a record of nine generations of descendants of Matthias St. John, Sension, or Sention who was born in England, came to Dorchester, Massachusetts in 1631-32, and was made a freeman there, on September 3, 1634. Matthias moved to Windsor, Connecticut in 1640. In 1654 he moved to Norwalk, Connecticut. Matthias and his wife, who's name is unknown, had at least four children. Matthias died in October or November 1669.
