George Barclay (1780-1857) was born in Cupar, Fife, Scotland to George Barclay (also known as Bartlet). George was a minister for the Baptist church. In 1801 he married Janet Tullis (1779-1866) and they immigrated to Canada where he served as a missionary and minister for the rest of his life. They were the parents of ten children. Descendants live in Canada and the United States.

Alphonso Button was born in 1834. He collected material on the Button lines who descended from Matthias Button who was a early settler of Massachusetts. Much of his research was done from his home in Michigan about 1900. Several of these individual Buttons joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and their family lines were traced by their descendants. Descendants now live throughout the United States.

George Stillman lived in the Wiltshire village of Steeple Ashton and married Lady Jane Pickering. She is believed to have died at sea when they immigrated to the United States in 1683 or 1684. Michael Barclay (1839-1908), son of David Barclay and Jean Graham, was born in Leslie, Scotland. He married Margaret Finlay who was born in Glasgow, daughter of Robert and Margaret Foxburg Finlay. The family came to Utah in 1878.
