Samuel Barker, son of John Barker of Aston and Mary, was baptized 22 February 1648/9 in Claverley, Shropshire, England. He emigrated in about 1677 and settled in New Castle County, Delaware. Descendant, Daniel Barker (1704-1748) and his wife Elizabeth Nicholas Berry, moved from New Castle County, Delaware to Orange County, North Carolina between 1759 and 1770.
