The earlier records (1824-1836) were for a church known as Eintrachts (Union) or Concordia. Its church book was turned over to Mount Joy upon organization in 1851. Mount Joy is located at Barlow in Mount Joy Township. The earlier church was probably located in the same township.

Nathan James Barlow, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, married Alice (Allie) Parkinson in 1915, was a school teacher in Cedar City, Utah and later a field adviser for the Education Division of the Institute of Inter-American Affairs, serving in Nicaragua and Honduras.

Doran Heap Barlow was born February 15, 1920 in Preston, Idaho. His parents were Nathan Barlow and Dora Matilda Tolman. He married Anna Harding, daughter of Alonzo Hazelton Harding and Margaret Rue Larsen, July 28, 1943 in Logan, Utah. She was born September 23, 1923 in Pocatello, Idaho and died February 7, 2002 in South Ogden, Utah. They had eight children.

John Paul Barlow, son of John Clyde Barlow (1895-1956) and Joukje Paulus Zysling (1895-1964), was born in 1920 in Bountiful, Utah. He married Ida Walsh (1920-1991), daughter of John Walsh (1885-1955) and Isabel Harmer (1890-1986). They had two children.

Description
James was born in Whitefield, Prestwich, Lancashire, England, on June 13 ,1802, the son of John and Jane Barlow. He married Ann Crompton on February 13, 1831. Together they had seven children. James died in England on July 22, 1849. Ann immigrated to Utah, United States in the Martin Handcart Company and died in Richfield, Sevier County on October 18, 1887.
