Linnie Fay Rockwell was a descendant of William Rockwell who was born around 1540 in Somerset, England. He married Marian Wyke. Their children may have been Symon or Simon, Thomas, Richard and John. Their grandson John Rockwell II moved to New England in 1635. He married Susannah Capen. Their children included Joan, John, Joseph, Mary, Samuel, Ruth and Sarah. John and Susannah's most famous descendant was the artist, Norman Rockwell.

Owen Singleton was born in 1793 in Virginia. He married Nancy Phipps (born 1803) in Wayne County, Kentucky. Their children were born in Wayne County, Kentucky and Randolph County, Missouri. George Barnhart (1825?-1899) married Martha E. Singleton (1827-1882), daughter of Owen and Nancy Singleton. Family members lived in Missouri, Arkansas, Colorado, and elsewhere.

John R. Ecklin (1782-1851) was born in Pennsylvania to James and Sarah (Temple or Richeson) Ecklin. In 1807 he married Jane ?, who was born 1787 in Pennsylvania. They were parents of eleven children, who were born between 1808 and 1827. The oldest child was born in Maryland, the others on Pennsylvania. Family members live mainly in Pennsylvania.

John Barnhart (1837-1914) was born in Columbiana Co., Ohio and died in Mineral City, Ohio. He married Mariah Hively (1841-ca. 1914) in 1858 in Columbiana County, Ohio. Michael and Christian Frantz were born in Switzerland about 1685. They and possibly another brother came to America about 1725 and settled in Pennsylvania with other Mennonites.
