James Hadlock (ca. 1634-1687) immigrated from England and settled at Salem, Essex Co., Mass. His first marriage was about 1652. His second marriage was in 1658 to Rebecca Hutchinson (b. 1632). Thomas Barrett (d.1668) and his family immigrated from England to Braintree, Massachusetts between 1635 and 1640, moving in 1662 to Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Moses Barrett (1718-1762), direct descendant in the fourth generation, married Mary Dow and lived in various towns in Connecticut. Descendants lived in New England, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Kansas and elsewhere.
