Daniel Smith, Sr., was born in 1778 in Virginia. He married Mary Grandstaff in 1801. They moved to Tennessee where they had 7 children. His second great granddaughter married into the Grattan family. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Iowa, Illinois, and elsewhere.

Ralph Wilmer Gemmer was born 14 March 1904 in Williamsport, Indiana. His parents were Wilmer Henry Gemmer and Leota May Biggs. His grandparents were Phillip Christian Gemmer, Lydia Emily Smith, Elias A. Biggs and Helena Bell Crane. He married Tommy Lord (1907-1992) 8 July 1927. They had two daughters. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Texas, Virginia, Connecticut and New Jersey.

Joseph Snider, son of Jacob Snider, Sr. and Margaret, was born in Maryland or Virginia. He married Catherine Riner in 1792, daughter of Henry Riner and Elizabeth Henry, in 1792. They had four children. He married Catherine Evah, daughter of Jacob Evah, in 1799 in Providence Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. They had eight children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

William Gober was born in about 1715, possibly in England or Virginia. He married Nancy Meekin in about 1736. They had five known children. He died in 1794 in Granville County, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky and Illinois.
