John Collin (1706-1746) was born in Milford, Connecticut or in New York City, New York. He and Hanna Merwin were married in 1730. He was lost at sea in 1746. She married John Tomlinson and Samuel Sanford. Descendants lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Minnesota, Ohio, Illinois and elsewhere as well as in Panama.

Esther Victoria Larson was born in 1916 in Illinois. Her parents were Andrew Nathan and Harriett Ellen Hendricker Larson. Her father's parents, Andrew Magnus and Rebecca Peterson Larson, had immigrated from Sweden about 1875 and settled in Illinois.
