Alexander Houston (1808-1889), son of Samuel Houston and Phebe Mayo, married Betsy Parks in 1836, moved from New Hampshire to Addison County, Vermont, in 1853 moved to Wisconsin, and later to Dodge County, Minnesota. Descendants lived in New England, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, Louisiana, California and elsewhere.

Edward Cartwright (b.1640) immigrated from England to Boston, Massachusetts, and later moved to the Isles of Shoals, Maine. Christopher, Reuben and Samuel (three sons of Nicholas of the third generation) served with the American forces during the battle at Québec in 1775. Descendants lived throughout the United States. Some descendants immigrated to New Brunswick, Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.

The founder of the Bowdoin family in North America was Pierre Baudoin. He and his wife Elizabeth (c. 1643-1720) has four children, the first three born in France and the fourth probably in North America. In 1686 Pierre and his family moved to North America. At first, they settled in Salem, Massachusetts. Later, they went to Maine and then to Boston, Massachusetts, where Pierre died in 1704. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, New York and elsewhere....
