Samuel Baum was born 3 May 1854 in Bavaria. He met and married Malchen Neuberger in 1879 in Bavaria. Later they immigrated and settled in Kansas City, Missouri. They had six children. Malchen died 25 December 1901 in Kansas City, Missouri. Samuel later married Malchen's sister, Marianna Neuberger, in 1917. Samuel died 14 September 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The first Baum descendant to appear on extant Currituck records is Abraham Baum in 1715. Appolonia was his wife who bore four sons and three daughters. Abraham died in the late winter of 1729 or the early spring of 1730.

George Washington Bean (1831-1897) was born in Illinois. He descended from members of Clan MacBean who had inhabited the highlands of Scotland. Members of the MacBeans had settled first in Ulster and then traveled to America where they eventually settled in Kentucky. George and his father's family joined the LDS Church and later emigrated to Utah. George married three wives and was the father of thirty children.

Philip Hennemann was born in 1788 in Wolfersheim, Altenburch, Prussia. He married Catherine Stechmayer in Bierbach, Bavaria. Their son, Sebastian, left Germany in 1868 and immigrated to New York. He was married to Catherine Baum. His daughter, Catherine, married Franz Joseph Knaus (1844-1893), son of Franz Joseph Knaus and Johanna Schmidt. Descemdamts lived in New York and elsewhere.

Johnes Baum was born ca. 1790 in Kirchheimbolanden, Bavaria, Germany. He married Katherine Schneider 18 May 1830 in Germany and was killed during the Revolution of 1848. In 1849 Katherine immigrated to the United States with their child named Charles. Charles married Barbara Ritz 7 August 1860. They lived in Knoxville, Tennessee and were the parents of two known children. Descendants lived primarily in Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
