John Bubenheim Bayard was born 11 August 1738 in Cecil County, Maryland. His parents were James Bayard and Mary Ashton. He married Margaret Hodge and they had fourteen children. They also adopted the three orphaned children of his twin brother James Asheton Bayard. John fought in the Revolutionary War. He died in 1807. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland and elsewhere.
