Description
Jonas Uland (1791-ca. 1829), a soldier in the War of 1812, was born in Halifax County, Virginia, the son of Thomas Uland, a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He married Elizabeth S. Bingham (1795-1846) daughter of Edmond and Lucy Bays in 1813 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. They had seven children, 1815-1828. The family migrated to Indiana ca. 1829 with her parents. He died at Poplar Camp, Tennessee, on the journey. His family continued to Indiana....

Lulu Marie Bays was born February 15, 1927 in Putnam, West Virginia. Her parents were Crosby Clarence Bays (1905-1967) and Nellie Johnson (1909-1938). She married Hartford Sayre April 7, 1944 in Dunbar, Kanawha, West Virginia. Traces her ancestors and relatives in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Iowa, North Carolina, Florida and elsewhere.

Van Wagner Williams was born 30 July 1856 in Hernando, Mississippi. His parents were Nathaniel Green Williams and Joseph Anna Stovall. He married Mollie Ladd (1861-1892) and had two daughters. He married Ida Amelia Rhodes (1874-1957) 14 March 1893. They had thirteen children. He died in 1941 in Grenada, Mississippi. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived in England, Scotland, Virginia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas and elsewhere.

Jonathan Barker (1762-1812) married Abiah Parker, served in both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, and moved from Massachusetts to Buffalo, New York. His son, William Parker Barker (1789-1879), married Sally Parker Butterfield in 1812 at Antrim, New Hampshire and died at Burlington, Vermont. Descendants lived in New England, New York, California, Utah and elsewhere.

Thomas Bays was born in Maryland 3 September 1798. His parents were John Franklin Bays and Mary Ann Knight. He married Nancy Ann Linigar (1800-1876), daughter of Isaac Linigar and Rebecca, in about 1818. They had fifteen children. Thomas died in 1886 in Niles, Michigan. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in West Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, California and Oregon.
