Description
William Wilkes and his wife, Elizabeth Hunt had at least ten children. Their son, William (b. 1827) married Elizabeth Haynes (b. 1826) in 1846. Between 1848 and 1851, William (the son) and his wife joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later immigrated to Utah. They were sent to settle Bear Lake area and from there the descendants scattered to Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, California and elsewhere.

Edward Richins was born in England in 1834. He was converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1853 and soon came to Utah. In 1862 he married Caroline Ellen Tipper, a English convert, and they had two children before her death in 1867. Soon after her death he married Sarah Beard and they had twelve children. Henry Hanna was born in Hancock County, Ohio, in 1834, and moved to Steuben County, Indiana, with his family as a boy. Harriet A. Beard was born in Sandusky County, Ohio, in 1844, and moved to Steuben County, Indiana, with her family at age twelve. They were married in 1865. They had eight children. He died August 6, 1918; and she died August 8, 1918, both at their home in Angola, Indiana. Double funeral services were held.

Harriet Foulkes Paynter (1848-1931), a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, immigrated from England to Salt Lake City in 1866, and married Charles Golding Shill in 1867.
