Claude Stanton Morrison was born April 27, 1908 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. His parents were James Alexander Morrison and Martha Jane Averitt. He married Anna Mae beard, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Beard and Hixey Sanders. They had 10 children. Anna was born in 1908 in Montgomery County, Tennessee and died in 1967. Claude died December 21, 1983. Descendants live mainly in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Rufus Edwards was born 1770-1780 in Connecticut. He married Letetia Windsor, daughter of Basil Windsor and Mary Ann, on 11 October 1803 in Trumble County, Ohio. Rufus died about 1838. Letetia moved from Montgomery County, Maryland to Ohio. This volume includes Edwards families from Cuyahoga, Portage, Geauga, Bass Island, and Summit Counties in Ohio.

Clyde Emery Hilligoss was born in Illinois in 1919. He married and was the father of three children. Information on many of his ancestral lines is given in this collection of material and correspondence. Several of these lines can be traced back to colonial America.
