William "Billy" Williams (1790-1880), a native of Kentucky, and his wife, Rachel Mann (1796-1870), a native of Pennsylvania, had five chioldren, 1818-after 1835. Billy and Rachel are buried in the Blair-North Fork Cemetery, Morrow County, Ohio. Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren lived in Ohio and elsewhere.

James William McCandliss was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1757. He married Mary Arters and they immigrated to America in 1790. Two of their sons were born in Pennsylvania. William Sherman (d.1679) emigrated in 1632 from England to Marshfield, Massachusetts. His grandson, Caleb (b. 1703) later moved to Plymouth, Massachusetts and married twice. Some descendants moved to New Brunswick as Loyalists between 1761 and 1765. Caleb Sherman (1785-1842) emigrated from New Brunswick to Harrison County, Ohio in 1830.
