Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Beebe (and variant spellings) families who settled in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont in the 1700s. During the 1800s, some moved to Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington. Later descendants also lived in Alberta (Canada), and in California, Missouri, New Jersey, and elsewhere.

John Beebe was born in Great Addington, Northamptonshire, England and married Rebecca Ladd ca. 1627. He emigrated from Broughton ca. 1650, dying enroute to New England. His children settled in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Descendants also lived in Vermont, New Hampshire, Québec, Indiana, New York, and elsewhere.

Description
John Beebe (1727-1786) was born at Colcester, Connecticut, the son of John and Ruth Pratt Beebe. He married Mary Hill (b. 1729), daughter of Solomon and Mary Adams Hill, in 1749 at Kent, Connecticut. They had twelve children, 1750-1777. The family was living at Oblong, New York, by 1760, and at New Concord, New York, by 1767. He died at New Concord, New York, and is buried in the Old Chatham Cemetery on the Brown Farm.

Biography of Emma Kathleene Major born 12 Mar 1922 in Mesa, Arizona, daughter of Heber Leroy Major and Rosezilla Cluff and an autobiography of Fred Garold Beebe born 12 Apr 1920 in Dayton, Ohio, a son of Edgar Albert Beebe and Eliza Rebecca Page. Kathleene and Fred were married 19 June 1942. She died 1 May 1986.

Includes the families also of his following brothers: Thomas (died ca. 1699), who died in Connecticut; Samuel (died 1712), died New York; James (born ca. 1641-1728), died Fairfield, Connecitcut. Descendants lived in Connecticut, New York, Ohio, and elsewhere.
