Carl John Henry Behrens (1835-1921) came to America with his wife, Carolina Ortman, and family in 1883 from Germany. They lived in the Walworth County, Wisconsin and McHenry County, Illinois area. They settled in Alden, McHenry County, Illinois. Descendants lived in Illinois, Wisconsin, and elswhere.

Dolores Adeline Haustein was born26 February 1927 in Red Wing, Minnesota. Her parents were Francis George Haustein (1894-1973) and Volga Margretha Clobes (1903-1985). She married Bernard Lee Harris in 1946. Ancestors and relatives lived mainly in Minnesota, Germany and Austria.
August Hillig was born 15 May 1815 in Germany. His father was Eugene Christoph Hillig. He married Aloisia Ewerz (1826-1918) in 1855 in Dayton, Ohio. They had three children....

Henry and Wilhelmina Meyer had 12 children between 1821 and 1841, and at least six of these children immigrated from Germany to various places in Illinois. "These six were Ferdinand, Wilhelm, August, Adolph, Dorathea (Mrs. John Garlish) and Wilhelmina (Mrs. Henry Behrens)." Descendants lived in Illinois, Iowa and elsewhere.
