Frederick William Peterson was born in 1838 in Stavanger, Norway. He married Elaizabeth Bratson. They immigrated to the United States in about 1874 and settled in Chicago. They had seven children. Descendants and relatives lived in Illinois, Minnesota, Idaho, California and elsewhere.
