Description
The delayed certificates were interfiled with the current births in the books. Those certificates have been seperated and filmed in the order they were filed and were subsequently given two numbers, usually written in the top lefthand corner--for example, 8/80. The The first number is the volume number; the second number is the page number. There are three certificates filed on each page, therefore sets of three certificates will have the same number....

Description
Where there is more than one volume dates frequently overlap. Some volumes also contain white and Colored. These things have been noted when they are obvious and/or significant. There appear to be three sets of volumes whose dates connect.

Some cases have two numbers which makes it necessary to look through all the earliest cases up to about 200.
Note: Case no. 1387-3037 were found later after filming and are especially important because they contain information about a group of people know as "Santificationist". There were several families affected by this group.
