Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Joseph F. Biggerstaff. Joseph was born 26 Oct 1826 to Andrew Biggerstaff and Sarah Clayton. He married Vardonique Rosettella Guille 11 Apr 1851 in Fairfield County, Ohio. They were the parents of five known children. She died in 1875. He married Ella McDowell Slaughter 13 Jun 1876. They were the parents of two children, one who died in infancy. He died 17 Apr 1909. Ella died 14 Apr 1919.

William Richard Houk was born in Oklahoma in 1915. He married Helen Lucille Kral and they were the parents of two daughters. They eventually settled in Delaware. Information on his ancestral lines is included in this volume. His ancestors lived in Iowa, Ohio, and Virginia before settling in Oklahoma.

John Biggerstaff was born 9 October 1806 in Ireland. He married Jennett Campbell 9 November 1827 in Ballyboley, County, Antrim. They had fourteen children. They emigrated in about 1840 and lived in Pennsylvania. In 1858 they migrated to Minnesota and settled near St. Cloud. John died in 1872. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Missouri, New York and elsewhere.

John Phelps was born in about 1680 in Virginia. He married Margaret in about 1720. They had three known sons, John, Samuel and William. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia and Kentucky.

Includes various Lackey families who originated in Ireland and settled in North Carolina, Alabama and Illinois. The author's ancestor was Thomas Ewing Lackey. He was born 3 March 1842 in Pulaski County, Illinois. He married Lavina Angeline Milford 25 December 1864 and they had six children.

Samuel Gettys was born in Ireland. He married Isabella Ramsey, daughter of William Ramsey and Mary in about 1750 in Pennsylvania. They had eight children. He died 15 March 1790 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, North Dakota and Missouri.

Chisolm Griffin (ca. 1750-ca. 1807) was a Revolutionary War veteran. He migrated to Rutherford Co., N.C. from Virginia. He married Frances Terrell (1764-ca. 1800) who was born in Virginia and died in Georgia. Descendants of their four children lived in North and South Carolina, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida and elsewhere.

Willems Crom lived in Pynacker, Holland. He married Maycke Hendricks in about 1646. They had three children. Willem died before 1656. Maycke married Jan Joosten Van Meteren. They had two children. They emigrated in 1662 and settled in Kingston, New York. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Illinois, Kentucky, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Texas, Tennessee and elsewhere.

Hezekiah Jones was born 1 March 1798 in Virginia and died 5 December 1882 near Shamrock, Callaway Co., Missouri. He was "Buried in Wilburn Cemetery on the home place."--P. [1-3]. He married Elizabeth Crump Perkins on 29 April 1819 in Kentucky. Elizabeth was born 2 July 1806. She died 29 March 1892 in Milo, Missouri and was buried in the Milo Cemetery next to her son Thomas.
