John Bell was a farmer in Gretna, Scotland. He married Agnes Johnston ca. 1762 and had at least seven children. He was buried in Castlemilktown, Scotland. Several of their children and grandchildren immigrated to the United States and settled in Warren County, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Scotland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, Michigan, and elsewhere.

Hugh Parker was born in 1780 in Virginia. He married Margaret Agnes Knox, daughter of Elisha Knox and Margaret Holmes, in 1806. They had six children. He died in 1820 in Alleghany County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas and California.

Hans Johan Peter Gruber was born in about 1699 in Germany. He married Anna Brabara (d. 1759) and they had eight children. They emigrated and settled in Pennsylvania.
