The earliest Blodgett mentioned is Robert Bloggett [sic.], who married Sarah Stepper and Mary Whitlock. He died in 1620 at Stowmarket, Suffolk. Levi Blodgett was born at Lexington, Massachusetts, on July 28, 1770. He died at Wendell, Franklin County, Massachusetts, on May 28, 1848. Thomas Blodgett was born in 1605 in England. He married Susan. They emigrated in 1635 and settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Their descendant, Lewis Blodgett, was born 9 September 1825 in Grafton, Vermont. He married Maria Abigail Mason in 1849. They had seven children. They moved to Minnesota in 1868 and then to Albion, Wisconsin in 1871. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Wisconsin.

Robert Morgan was born ca. 1600 in Llanrhymny, Wales and married Margaret Norman in 1636. They immigrated to the United States prior to 1641 and settled in Salem, Massachusetts.
