Description
Church was organized in 1857 as the First Congregational Church of Mapleton. In 1861 the name became Sterling Congregational Church because most of the members are from Sterling. The church in Mapleton became Mapleton Station. Members may also come from the Sterling Township area.

The church was originally called Medo Norske Evangeliske Lutherske Menighed or Medo Evangeliske Lutherske Menighed of den Forenede Lutherske Kirke i Amerika. It is now known as the Medo Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Medo Lutheran Church.
The Little Cobb Menighed was organized in 1879 and joined in 1886 Medo Norske Evangeliske Lutherske Menighed.

The churches were located in the townships of Cambria, Butternut Valley, and Judson, all in Blue Earth County, Minnesota.
The Salem Congregational Church was started in 1855. It united with the Horeb and Cambria churches to form the Cambria Federated Church in in 1941.
