Description
Johan Adam Bolch (d.1794) emigrated in 1753 (probably from Germany) via Rotterdam to Philadelphia, on the same ship as Andreas Balch. Johan Adam Bolch or Johannes Adam Bolich settled in Exeter Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He and his family moved to Lincoln County, North Carllina in 1770. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and elsewhere.

Elizabeth Henderson was born 12 August 1831, probably in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Her parents were Kennedy (Canada) Henderson and Polly Tillery. She married William Comer Peek (1822-1901), son of Zachariah Peek and Sally Moore, 1 August 1848. They had twelve children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Missouri and Idaho.

Johannes Schmierer (John Smyer) was probably born in Germany around 1740, emigrating in 1755. He initially settled in Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia, where he fought in the French and Indian Wars, and is believed to have learned the carpentry trade.
