Eli J. Bontrager was born 19 January 1868. He was the son of John E. Bontrager and Barbara Mishler. He married Mattie Miller, daughter of Isaac D. Miller and Mary Hochstetler, 18 December 1890. He died 15 February 1958 in Florida.

John T. Yoder (1840-1922), a member of the Old Order Amish Mennonite Church, was born in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He migrated to Lagrange County, Indiana, with his family, ca. 1846. Christian Christner (1799-1836), a son of Peter Christner and Magdalena Guth, was probably born in Germany, where his parents had moved from Switzerland. He married Elizabeth (1796-1862) before 1820, and the family immigrated to Canada in 1828, eventually settling in Iowa. They had eight children. Descendants live in Canada and the midwest United States.

Johann Martin Borntraeger (b.1723) married Anna Elizabeth Hanauer, immigrated from Germany to Switzerland, and in 1767 the family immigrated to Philadelphia, settling near Meyersdale in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Descendants used the surname of Bontrager, and lived in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan and elsewhere.

Jonas S. Beachy was born in 1860 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He married Fannie Miller, daughter of Ben Y. Miller and Catherine Hostetler, in 1885. They had twelve children. He died in 1952.
