Nicholas Boogher emigrated from Germany and settled in Pennsylvania in 1727. His descendant, John Booher (1773-1860), was the son of Bartholomew Booher of Frederick County, Maryland. John and his wife, Elizabeth Crull (1772-1865), had eleven children, 1795-1817. Their first four children were born in Washington County, Pennsylvania.
