Harrison Beers was born 3 July 1819 in New York State. He married Francis M. Boyce, also of New York, in March of 1844. Harrison died in 1904 in Hillsdale County, Michigan. Francis died in 1911. They were the parents of 6 children.

Family of Richard Carter, son of James Carter and Susanna Griffith. He was born ca. 1710 in Bucks Co., Pa. His mother, Susanna Griffith, was of Eglos Oro Parish, Pembrokeshire, Wales. He was married to Margaret Bruce, daughter of John Bruce of Frederick Co., Va. Richard migrated to Virginia as early as 1736. He sold his land there in 1765 and soon after that in 1766 family moved to South Carolina. Includes other Carters in Laurens Co., South Carolina.

Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Thomas L. Boyce (born 12 October 1802 in Outwell, Cambridgeshire, England) and Elizabeth Crabb who was born 13 March 1804 in England. They were married sometime prior to the year 1829 and immigrated to America ca. 1855. Thomas and Elizabeth first lived in Ohio and later settled in Iowa. Only five of their twelve children survived. Descendants lived primarily in Ohio and Iowa.

He was married sometime prior to 1656 but the name of his wife is still unknown. Nicholas was the father of at least three known children. John Mason Boyce (1879-1955), the son of John Miller Boyce (1848-1879) and Elva Euphemia Strong Boyce (1852-1918), was probably born at Pineville, North Carolina. He married Margaret Leone Maxwell (1879-1953), daughter of Ptolemy Philadelphus Maxwell (1834-1906) and Maggie C. Hunter Maxwell (1840-1884) in 1903. They had four sons, 1905-1913. He died at Bessemer City. Descendants lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and elsewhere.

Thomas Smotherman was born ca. 1755 in Moore County, North Carolina. He first appears in the 1790 census of Moore County with his wife and two sons, Hugh and John, who migrated to middle Tennessee in the early 1800's. He died in 1812 in Randolph County, North Carolina. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, and elsewhere.

Joseph Laycock (1827-1905) and Elizabeth Wilson (1831-1898) were married in 1851 at Kildwich, County York, England. Three children were born before they emigrated to Australia and nine more after.
