Chiefly correspondence between the Ferguson and the Jayne families. James Ferguson, of Scot lineage, immigrated from Ireland to New York City in 1794 and married Jane Dunshee, a fellow immigrant. William Jayne (b.1618) immigrated from England to Long Island, New York in 1652. Descendants of the two families attended the Fergusonville Academy in Davenport, New York, and corresponded (and intermarried) thereafter.

Description
Jacobus Breakenridge (1696-1767) and his wife, Sarah, were married in 1720. They had eight children, 1721-1731. The family emigrated from Scotland in 1727 and settled on a fork of the Chickopee River on the Elbow Tract, now Palmer, Massachusetts. Descendants listed lived in Massachusetts, Ohio, Iowa, Michigan, and elsewhere. Most descendants spelled their name Breckenridge.
Includes the Palmer, Otis, and other related families.

Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Johan Ulrich Kohl. He was born in 1702 in Germany. He married Salome. They immigrated from Germany via Holland arriving in Philadelphia 27 Aug 1733. He died in 1777. They were the parents of four children. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Missouri, and elsewhere.

John Grigsby (d. 1730) fled England about 1660 and arrived in Virginia between then and 1665. He married Jane Prosser (or Rosser). One descendant, Thomas Ennis Grigsby (1907- ) married twice. Descendants lived in Virginia, Indiana, Maryland, Arkansas, Missouri Utah and Idaho. They include members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

James Pitney, son of Jeremiah Pitney, emigrated from England to Massachusetts prior to 1635. He died 14 March 1663 in Marshfield, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, New Jersey and California.
