Description
Lenard Holliday Shumway, son of Hyrum Brooks Shumway and Rosa Bell Holladay, was born in 1908 near Byron, Wyoming. He married Edith Ready, daughter of Jesse Foster Ready and Vola Bell Dockery, in 1932. They had nine children.

The earliest known ancestor was John Frost (b.1558) of Cornwall, England who married Anna Hamden in 1582 and had one son. John Frost (b.1634) appears to have been the emigrant ancestor. He settled near Salem, Massachusetts. One of his descendants was Otis Davis Frost (1856- 1931) who was born in Massachusetts and moved at a young age to Iowa. Otis married Sarah Mahalileth Stewart in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1885. They were the parents of six children....

She was born 29 May 1773 in Eastern New Jersey Colony, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Richison/Richardson) Hill.
