Description
John Christopher Gobrecht (1733-1815), son of Daniel and Anna Catherine Gobrecht, immigrated in 1753 from Germany to Philadelphia (with his elder brother, John Christian Gobrecht). He settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, attended a clerical school, and accepted a call as a preacher before he married Elizabeth Sentz (Sands) in 1771. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Ohio and elsewhere.

John Foote (ca. 1758-1841) was born in Dublin, Ire. In 1774, he was seized by a "press gang" and forced to fight in the Revolutionary War for the British. At the close of the war, he went to N.C. and later to Ky. In 1819, he took his family of nine to Indiana. He died in Montgomery Co., Ind. Descendants have scattered throughout the United States.

George Michael Breiner married Anna Catharina Loy in 1756/1757 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was of German lineage, and was possibly the G. Michael Breiner who arrived in Philadelphia in 1752. George Michael was naturalized in 1765, and possibly served in the Revolutionary War. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Briner) and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and elsewhere....

Arthur Levi Haines (1905-1968) married Evelyn Marie Bair in 1926. Traces the descendants of their earliest known Haines and Bair ancestors. Anthony Haines (Heintz) immigrated to America from Germany in the 1730s. He married Apollonia Walters and Susannah and had nine children. George Bair (1786-1871) married Catherine Lohr (1798-1885) and had four children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland. .
