William Blazier/Blazer, son of Christian Blazier and Christena, was born in 1784 in New Jersey. He married Catherine Hayden (1792-1853), daughter of Jonathan Hayden and Mary Van Winkle, in 1803 in Mendham, Ohio. They had eleven children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas.

John Major Amos (1839-1919), a direct descendant, was born in Belmont County, Ohio, married twice, and died in Cambridge, Ohio. Jan Strÿcker (1615-ca.1697) emigrated from Holland to New Amsterdam, New York in 1652. He moved in 1654 to what is now Flatbush, Long Island, New York, and married twice (once in Holland). By the sixth generation, descendants spelled the surname Stryker. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado and elsewhere.
